Flamebait Games is the newest addition to Swedens blossoming game development climate. The six person team from Skövde have been hard at work on their first title and recently celebrated taking third place in an Almi pitch event. They recently took a few minutes to talk about their immediate plans for the future.
What will be the primary focus of the studio and how do you hope to stand out from the competition?
We strive to make small games with a short development cycle. We’re flexible and experimental, not afraid to abandon ideas that we feel are lacking and find new approaches. I believe this mindset will generate truly interesting games.
What inspired the decision to make Deco step?
Our current project started when one of our team members proclaimed that there were a lack of simplistic game-like fitness apps. We started toying with the idea and since then it has evolved from being a RPG to a game containing interior design and a virtual pet. The main thing that inspired the decision was the obvious need on the market. There’s a lack of small, simple and intuitive exercise motivation games and that’s where we come in.
When do you hope to have the game set for release?
Our ambition is to launch the game to the Appstore in early 2016.
