Sweden Game Arena at Kulturnatten in Skara
Here is something for the weekend. Sweden Game Arena will be present at Kulturnatten in Skara on October 10th, together with several local studios from Skövde. They will organize a new edition of Play My Game!, which is an opportunity to try out several locally developed, creative, engaging, entertaining video games on a variety of platforms.
Here are the studios who will tag along and the games they will have ready for you to play:
The mobile games developer Deedly Games, who is showing off their recently released Tiny Tricky Tiles! This game is a pure puzzle game, no hidden trick or tactics, where you need to group blocks of same colored tiles to solve your way to level up
The reactionary 0010 showing the soon to be released The Westport Independent, a game about censorship, corruption and newspapers, set in a fictional country going through turbulent and disturbing political changes
The passionate Mindblown Studios, showcasing Rising Islands, an adventure game set in a beautiful world which has been torn apart by mystical forces and split into two dimensions. You are an adventurer gifted with the power to jump between dimensions so you can set things straight once again
The funky Mostly Harmless Games with their “hyper realistic” forklift operator simulator called Funklift, where you just need to move stuff around, in challenging, 70’s disco-funk, modern techno influenced, neon lit conditions
Emily Olmstead & Jason Varlet with Kaiten Sushi GO!, a time trial racing game for anyone who ever dreamed of driving the cutest looking sushi on a tricky, kitchen inspired conveyor belt.
We hope you will have fun playing these games! We will also be there to provide information about Sweden Game Arena, the University of Skövde offering a wide variety of game related programmes, the local game development scene and what benefits you can get if you have what it takes to open up your own video game studio within our group.
