It’s the start of the year, which brings with it the search for financing. I thought I’d revisit one of my earlier posts on the Nordic Game Developer Resource Kit which a focus on ways of seeking out and applying for.

Kulturbryggan (Sweden)An alternative to more conventional funding options, this could be an outlet for teams or projects that transcend simply gaming in the conventional sense.

Nordic Game Program
The Nordic Game Program may no longer exist, however Nordic game harbours plans to introduce a funding platform. Track back occasionally as the community unveils details.

Kickstarter
The premier crowdfunding platform. Still yet to really take off in the Nordics, but if your game resonates with backers, you’ll get it funded.

Funded By Me
FundedByMe offers several methods of crowdfunding, Equity, Loan, and Reward-based crowdfunding, to investors and entrepreneurs. FundedByMe is a global platform for entrepreneurs and investors to meet, specialising in cross-border investments.

Indiegogo
Crowdfunding platform that allows you to create a campaign and build a pool of fans and supporters. Multiple funding models and payment options like PayPal make it easy to choose what works best for you.

Patreon
Founded in May 2013 and based in San Francisco, California, Patreon was created to enable fans to support and engage with the artists and creators they love.

SOLID
SOLID is a program that helps you strengthen your business. The course is specifically designed for creative digital businesses working with the development of digital media products.

National Danish Game Program
Financial support provided by the Danish government.

Rannis (ICELAND)
Rannis administers the main public competitive funds in the fields of research, innovation, education and culture in Iceland.

EU support
Creative Europe supports the development of video games, aiming to improve the competitiveness of the European video games industry by increasing its capacity to develop works with a high circulation potential, both in the EU and beyond.

Norwegian Film Institute
NFI gives grants to develop computer games and other interactive productions in Norwegian. We support all genres and on all platforms.

    we are a new equity crowdfunding site in Sweden and we focus on companies that are done with seeding rounds and proof of concept and need to expand… Keep an eye out for Pepins! WE open up the site month end (jan -16) and it will be in english in May!
